We are delighted to announce the launch of our new online catalogue to share information about the collections we care for.
The online catalogue has been made possible thanks to funding from the Culture Recovery Fund provided by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and distributed by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
At the moment most collections have a summary high level description while we work to import paper catalogues - we also have lots of material that is not yet catalogued. We are working on grant funding applications to get some extra staff support to work on these collections.
Some collections are catalogued in more detail, these include:
- the Sir Chris Bonington Archive
- the Joe Tasker Collection
- magazines and journals
- books
- objects donated before 2017
A huge thank you to the funders who have supported the cataloguing of these collections, the tireless volunteers who have worked so hard on detailed listing, and the collections' original owners - their decisions to donate their collections to the Mountain Heritage Trust means that this heritage will be safe and accessible for future generations.
