A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our 20th anniversary fundraising campaign so far. We've been touched by the generous donations and messages from our supporters.
Messages include some from people who are firmly focused on the history:
"It's so important to ensure the long term preservation and ongoing interpretation of such a great collection." (Anonymous)
and
"It's so important to preserve our mountaineering heritage." (Dave Hunter)
To those who know and love the work of the organisation:
"Pleased to help with MHT in any way - Happy 20th Anniversary !!" (Ron Kenyon)
and
"Keep up the great work." (Ed Douglas and Anonymous) and "Keep up the good work" (Terry Gifford)
We have also had at least two donations made in memory of a friend or family member including Hugo Drayton (in memory of his father, Geoffrey) and most recently in memory of our former Patron and much-loved climbing legend, Joe Brown. The Joe Brown Shops have made a direct donation of £500 towards the Mountain Heritage Trust's 20th anniversary fundraiser in memory of Joe who passed away earlier this year. You can see the shops' tribute to Joe here where there are also links to some online climbing films featuring Joe).
We know that it has been an incredibly tough year for many people for many reasons but every donation will make a difference to the future of Britain's climbing and mountaineering heritage, so a massive thank you to everyone who has donated.
To continue our ever increasing preservation and engagement work we are actively looking for financial donations of any amount.
