Vanessa Coates is a mountain enthusiast who’s passion for the hills started early, growing up within a stone’s throw of the Alps. As a teenager she discovered rock climbing and later on went on to lead ski groups. When she is not working as a wildlife and adventure filmmaker she spends as much time as she can hiking and exploring. In addition to carrying out her own small-scale adventures, she is an avid consumer of mountain literature and film. A member of the Women’s Alpine Adventure Club and Swiss Alpine Club, Vanessa is eager to promote accessibility, inclusivity and sustainability within the mountain environment.
